Hosted Families Satisfaction Survey
It is very important for social service non-profit organizations to assess the quality of the service they offer. This assessment allows to identify areas for improvement; to keep information statistically controlled; to maintain the quality of those items rated as satisfactory; and finally, to develop improvement plans with specific actions for those rated negatively.
One of the control tools used by the Jubert Figueras Foundation are opinion surveys answered by the hosted families. When possible, these questionaries are handed out, filled and returned a few days before discharge. When not possible, they are sent by mail with a return envelope.
Early 2010 we analyzed polls of families hosted in 2009. Of a total of 84 surveys sent or handed, we received 63 responses. We highlight here the most significant data obtained:
> 100% believed that the care provided by the foundation staff and volunteers had been very satisfactory.
> 79% of the hosted families considered it to have been beneficial for them to share flats with other people who were in the same situation.
> 87% considered they had had a good or very good relationship with the families with whom they had shared the apartment.
> 94% considered that the conditions of the apartments were good or very good.
> 69% considered the apartments were located at a correct distance from hospitals.
These results are very positive and encourage us to continue to support displaced patients' families. To do this, as always, we need your help.
